Dear Brandon, from the first time my late great GSD Samantha and I babysat you, we knew you were something special. As you grew I knew the Lord was with reminding me of a beautiful angel. I still recall your first acting debut as baby Jesus....no crying he made. You have come a long way and God seems to have been with you every step. Keep up the wonderful work.

Hi there Brandon, I have been following the Prayer Warrior site for a couple months now and have seen so many new illnesses and wondered how do they do it? I believe God takes care of His own but so many babies with so much on them........your story, your families honesty and faith is soo refreshing. God has truly blessed you and the rest of us who are seeing you emerge with faith, love and courage, is so inspiring. I think, as old as I am, I am seeing maybe for the first time the true meaning of 'fearfully and wonderfully made'. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you so much for your web site! I have a lovely baby boy. He has isochromosome 18 mosaic,(they are not sure about mosaic, but he don't have any big issues to deal with, so they believe he is mosaic.) He is very healthy. First the genetics recommended abortion, but after i got him they called him a miracle, and that is exactly what he is for us. I know there is a lot of discrimination with trisomy 18, but from the day we decided not to have an abortion, the local hospital has been fantastic supportive to us and our baby.

Amazing. Brandon, you are truly an inspiration! Until my dear friends had their baby, Danny, I had never heard of Trisomy 18, like so many others.

My friends were also told that Danny was "incompatible with life". They never hesitated or faltered in their love or faith. Danny was born 09/29/14. He's still in the NICU, but is a fighter. Thank you and GOD Bless you for sharing your story!

Brandon, my heart is warmed watching your life your quality life with your family and friends! It will be almost two years ago that my daughter Hailey Rayelle Saunders was born on January 27, 2013 - May 18, 2013. She was diagnosed FT13, but there is considerable debate about that now as the genetics test was not done correctly. Hailey was the best gift a dad could ever have! She proved the doctors wrong at every point they said she would not do. I wish I had known more about all the kiddos living quality lives back then so I could show the doctors at Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon, Sk. Canada that she was compatible with life. I love that you are showing and demonstrating to all people that they need to be kind, loving, with out prejudice and open minded about the individual person and what supports they needs to thrive instead of taking them away to have them pass away because they are thought not to be compatible with life. God Bless you and your family!

Hi Brandon, I'm not sure if this site is still active, but I wanted you to know that you are not alone out there. My son, Trevor, was also born with Mosaic Trisomy 18 and he will be turning 29 this June! He was diagnosed when he was 5 weeks old and in fact, they ran the test twice just to make sure, but Even though he had heart surgery at 8 weeks old, he thrives. Trevor graduated from high school, works, and has more friends than a movie star. An athlete in Special Olympics, he bowls, plays bocce and loves softball and track, and is a Global Messenger. He struggles with reading and money concepts, but that hasn't slowed him down. Our family would love to hear from you and your family:^)

I came across an article about the same genetic condition you have and found your site. Never give up Brandon. I also have a genetic disability (Osteogenesis Imperfecta) and the doctors told my parents to take me home and enjoy me while they can because I will not live to be a year old. Well God willing on June 3rd I will be celebrating my, now get this, 50th birthday! I'm in the process of publishing about about my life's journey and how God has helped me Overcome the Impossible. Keep praying and God will never leave you nor forsake you. After all he promised! :)

Dear Brandon,

I am a Swedish medical student in Poland, who came across your blog just now, while studying trisomy 18 and Google-ing around. I watched some of your videos and I must say - Wow. You are such an amazing guy. And you are absolutely correct - Doctors are not always right. Pretty much all info is based on studies on statistics, which do not always indicate the outcome for individual cases. I am happy you are proving everyone wrong. People like you make us look away from statistics and understand that sometimes - God has plans beyond our understanding.

I will keep you in my thoughts throughout my career (thinking about going into obstetrics), and I hope you live to be a hundred.

"As long as there is love, there is hope."

Blessings,

xoxo Evelina

Brandon! You have touched my heart and inspired me! I have a 16 day old baby girl with T18. We are unsure of the type exactly, but we are thinking it may be Mosaic because she hasn't had any serious issues yet...heart and all major organs seem fine so far.

You are such a remarkable young man & although we do not know one another, I just want to say I'm so proud of you. Your perseverance & faith are so admirable. And you're right, the "incompatible with life" tag needs to be removed. There are children out there thriving with T18. Parents need to know that! They need to know that, although many children do not live, there are people like you out there. We had little hope for my sweet Nola Jane, but I thank God for you and placing your story before me.

God bless!

Thank you so much for your talk today at CPL conference.
You are so inspiring.
I have been a family doctor for 35 years but I had not met someone with T18 before.
I did not know what a wonderful life was possible.
You said your IQ tested at 58. I had not realized before this , what was possible —- you have opened my eyes.
Thanks again.
